The Vaping Bandwagon: Take A Look At eLiquid

One of the most important components of vaping, aside from the vaporizer pen itself, is, of course, the eLiquid. Without it vaping would be considered pretty pointless. Now, as if finding the perfect flavor was not hard enough, you also have to worry about a healthfully produced eLiquid to reduce the many unknown health risks that come along with vaping. It is commonly known that there have been more and more eLiquid producers that are getting caught with the incorrect and hazardous labeling of their products. So let’s take a look into what eLiquid is, the use of nicotine, and the ingredients that are incorporated into the eLiquid to give you your favorite flavors.

eLiquid, also known as eJuice, is quite obviously the liquid that is used in the act vaporizing. To put it very simply, eLiquid is the fluid that fuels the electronic cigarette. Consider the relationship of eLiquid and a vape pen to that of gas and a car. It is also what provides the nicotine solution and the preferred flavoring to your electronic cigarette. When the coils of the vape pen heat up the eLiquid it creates the vapor, in which you, in turn, exhale, that mimics the traditional smoke from a traditional tobacco cigarette.

It seems to come up very often that people are increasingly wary about the contents of the eLiquid. eLiquid has been widely known to typically contain vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol, nicotine and some sort of flavoring. There are many vapor companies where the vaper can generally custom order e-liquid by requesting a certain VG (vegetable glycerin) percentage and PG (propylene glycol) percentage.  However, as the industry has progressed and grown, many eLiquid manufacturers are distributing e-liquid with a set VG/PG percentage. The most common percentages to see from manufacturers is, 50 VG/50 PG, 65 VG/35 PG, and 70 VG/30 PG.

Along with the flavor, vegetable glycerine, and propylene glycol the vaper can also request a certain nicotine strength due to there personal preferences. However, for those of you that are not huge fans of nicotine, it is not required to be in eLiquid ingredients in order for it to be vaporized. There are many users who in fact do not use nicotine, and just enjoy the act of vaporizing on its own. These type of vapers have been nicknamed “No-Nic” vapers. For those of you that do enjoy your dose of nicotine, the most common nicotine strengths are from 0mg to 24mg. It has been speculated for the safety of the vaper to not exceed 24mg of nicotine. In fact, most electronic cigarette vendors will not even offer more than that amount either. The most common nicotine strength used is 18mg on the high side and 12mg on the low side. What is most important with the nicotine levels is to find one that suits you. Something that will not be too harsh but still gives you the head rush most vapers are searching for. As new products continue to emerge and evolve, more advanced electronic cigarettes have enabled vapers to be able to drop their nicotine strengths due to the fact that these more advance devices deliver nicotine more efficiently.

Now that you know the basics of eLiquid, get out there and find the perfect eLquid for you!

Happy Vaping!
